Deployment-line planning
Measure the Roof Before You Order
The standard deployment-line package fits most one- and two-storey buildings measuring up to 100 feet up and over. Measure from the ground, over the roof, and back to the ground before choosing the line length.
- Standard rigging lines are included with the single Water Winger kit.
- Longer line sets are available for larger or more complex roofs.
- Contact us if you would like help confirming roof fit before ordering.

Coverage and Water Requirements
Actual coverage varies with wind, elevation, nozzle selection, hose length, available pressure and water flow. For longer or wider roofs, multiple Water Wingers can provide better overlapping coverage.
Deploy in Three Steps
- Place the line. Send the weighted ball and deployment line safely over the roof.
- Connect the system. Untwist both ropes so the Water Winger pulls straight. Working alone? Hold them in the frame clips before lifting.
-
Pull into position.
Guide the sprinkler onto the roof peak, secure the line and test the spray pattern.
Watch the pull onto the roof
Suitable for More Than Homes
Water Winger can help cover steep or difficult-to-access roofs on cabins, barns, workshops, boathouses and other outbuildings. It can also complement ground sprinklers around decks, vegetation and nearby structures.

Quick answers
Water Winger Kit Questions
Open a question for a clear, practical answer about safe deployment, water supply, roof fit and coverage.
Ground deploymentDo I need to climb onto the roof?
No. The Water Winger is designed to be positioned using a deployment line while you remain safely on the ground.
Water supplyHow much water does it require?
With the supplied nozzles, the sprinkler typically uses approximately 7–9 US gallons per minute at 50 PSI. Alternate nozzles can help match other water supplies.
Roof fitWill it work on a steep roof?
The spring-loaded frame automatically adjusts to different roof pitches. Contact us with a roof photo if you are unsure about a specific structure.
Coverage planningCan one sprinkler cover a large building?
One sprinkler can create up to a 50-foot radius in calm conditions. Longer or wider buildings may benefit from two or more sprinklers with overlapping coverage.
Wildfire conditions are unpredictable. Sprinklers are one part of a broader property-preparation plan and cannot guarantee that a structure will survive a wildfire.

We were just contacted by the company to see if we were happy with our purchase 2 years ago and if we could post a review. Definitely happy! Received in 3 days. We have 3 one on the boathouse and two on our log cottage. We run them with a pump on the dock. Everything ready to go in the garage. It sets up fast so we’ll set it up when things start to get bad. I don’t know of any other system we could use for our situation. You wont be disappointed. Betty

We have a farm and two of our barns are over 100 years old. There is NO WAY to get any sprinklers up that high. We put our wingers up no problem. On a well on a gen. We have 4. 2 on each barn. We have other sprinklers for our house and yard but theses are amazing coverage up there and we feel really good about our setup. No problem recommending, you will like what you can do with these.

We got our sprinkers in 2019. We don’t put them up until we have to. It’s easy to do. We have one for our house and one for my shop. Both steep roofs. Very happy, no other way for us really. We also have 4 small sprinklers around on the chicken coop and shed. It runs on our well. I just turn up the pressure on the pump and can get a lot of water spread around fast. I have a gen to run the pump if it comes to that. We feel good to be set up for this year. Never know when you’ll need it. You won’t regret having these.

Get some! You can tell a lot of work went into this system. I am retired and want to protect the home I built in 1986. With the wildfires so bad I finally put a sprinkler system together. I run 3 water wingers, 2 on my house and 1 on my shop from my well. I pulled them up myself and it’s not a big deal. Took a couple of trys to get the ball over but it’s easy to figure out. It’s really smoky here and I seriously feel a little bit better about my chances now.

Yes, I will give a review! I bought 2 of these because my roof is very steep and about 3 storeys to the peak surrounded by trees in Burns Lake, BC. There is no way I’m climbing up there anymore but I can put the wanglers up no problem an dtake them down myslef. They spray high into the trees and about 60′ reach all around. I was a stress case all summer until I got this setup.

These bring us huge peace of mind! Fast shipping. We live in 100 Mile house area and they came in 3 days. We set them up the day we got them and turn them on from time to time to keep it green. Easy to set up.

Highly recommend this product. Got it in June and it’s on the house now. No way I’m climbing up there at my age but I can pull this up myself and feel alot better. Best system out there. No problem recommending.

Peter just checked in to ask how I like our Water Wingers and if I would give a review. Yes I recommend this product. I couldn’t find anything else that I could put up myself and that wets such a big area. I use them on my house and coverall shop. Shop is a large steel and fabric building that I wanted to keep wet so sparks don’t burn through. One on the middle covers the whole shop and this is the easiest way by far.

I am very impressed with this sprinkler system. It is the only one I can put onto my steep cottage roof myself. Get one, you won’t regret it. Definitely looks like a high quality product.

Real quality work has been put into this product. Living in a high fire zone I know I can feel much more at ease with my water winger at hand to protect my home in the dryer weather which is priceless. Also super quick and easy to get up on my high rooftop, even by myself! To be honest, I couldn’t believe it until I tried it the first time. Worth every penny.
