The Water Winger is an innovative solution to get powerful sprinklers onto roofs and other high value assets quickly and safely for instant wildfire protection.
We manufacture Water Wingers in Salmon Arm, British Columbia, Canada.
While struggling to protect a remote log cabin with garden sprinklers as ash started blowing in from a newly sparked wildfire, I found myself climbing up onto the top of a steep 2 story roof with tools and garden sprinkler in tow. As the ashes got bigger I began thinking about how dangerous of a situation I was in up there and I still wasn’t having much luck finding a way to secure the sprinkler. I climbed up and down numerous times to build a mount from 2×4’s and I began to think that there had to be an easier, safer way to get sprinklers onto roofs.
It took years of refinement and a lot of work from wildfire wary people, engineers and firefighters who really believed that we could find a better, safer way to help save more homes. We built and tested many prototypes until we got it perfected. The Water Winger is an innovative structure protection solution and is being sold across Canada and the US.
We are in the process of scaling up our production to meet the fast growing demand for our products. Specializing in structure protection equipment, we have expanded to carry special hose, large bore fittings, valves, splitters and other innovative wildfire protection sprinklers in our online shop to make it easier to get prepared for wildfires.
Many thanks to Jake Jacobson and everyone with the Columbia Shuswap Regional District and their Professional Structure Protection Crews for their help in the development of the Water Winger. I am happy to hear of their successes using Water Wingers through the intense 2023 wildfire season and also of the successes of many homeowner deployments we helped get set up.
I am sure you will find many situations where Water Wingers and our other innovative wildfire equipment will prove to be invaluable.
