Description
Choose the fittings and hose you need to complete your system.
If you are running more than 2 large sprinklers from a single source, you can increase your flow and equalize system pressure by using a Full Loop System. This makes it easier to get the same pressure and the most throw from every sprinkler connected to the loop.
A Full Loop System is where you start with a high flow Y and lay a circle of at least 3/4″ fire hose around your structure in 50′ lengths and put a High-Flow “T” Fitting at every junction where you want to connect a sprinkler.
A typical structure Full Loop is about 200′ – 250′ which is 4 – 5 lengths of 50′ 3/4″ hose. Measure out what you would need.
Make sure you have more hose than less. Extra hose can be used for fire hose nozzles with garden hose threads.
If feeding with a pump you’ll need a 1 1/2″ Y with garden hose adapters.
There is a rugged, Poly 1 1/2″ Y version and there is also a high end 1 1/2″ Aluminum Y version available.
There is a gated version where you can shut off any 1 of the 3 outlets at a time.
The normal ungated Y’s have a larger bore size and that may be a consideration for systems with higher volume requirements.
